Overview
COB Series LED COB Strip Light creates a totally smooth, seamless line of light. The superior design will not show visible dots or hot spots, making it ideal illumination for reflective surfaces such as granite countertops and tile floors. Eliminating the need for lens cover, it’s also suitable for narrow applications like jewelry cases and backlighting. Chip-on-board technology not only maintains quality light, but it reduces heat buildup and gives the strip improved flexibility. And with high, 90+ CRI, this tape light is a solution for places where quality color rendering is needed, such as display cases and kitchen counters. Measuring only 8mm, the strip light is fully dimmable, cuttable in 1.41" segments, and 3M™ adhesive-backed.

What is the difference between 12V and 24V strip lights?
12 volt and 24 volt strips are extremely similar. They look the same, are capable of the same light output, and have identical costs. There are some key differences between the two which matter depending on application. For instance 12 volt strips can be connected directly to your vehicle's 12 volt electrical system. While 24 volt strips on the other hand allow for longer runs, or higher densities of LEDs over their 12 volt counterparts. For the maximum run of a strip see Max Run in the specification table for more information. Read More »
What accessories do I need?
The only thing you need for certain to power a strip light is a power supply. We offer accessories used for installation, such as connectors and aluminum mounting channels. As well as others that add functionality such as such as dimmers, switches, and remote controls. Complete kits are also offered which include everything you need to get started.
How bright is the strip? What are lumens and how many do I need?
Lumens are the measure of how bright an LED strip will be when in use. The higher the lumen rating, the brighter the strip will be. Higher lumen strips are usually better for under cabinet and task lighting. Lower lumen strips are typically used for accent lighting applications.
What is color temperature? Which one is best?

Correlated Color Temperature is the hue, or tint of white to expect from a light source and is measured in kelvin. Lower numbers give off a warmer white that is closer to candle light, and is good for relaxed and cozy spaces. Higher numbers give off a cooler white light that will appear more blueish. While values to the middle of the spectrum give off a more neutral or natural white light that is similar to daylight. Natural and cool white are considered ideal for task lighting.

Can you have too much light?
COB light quality is simply awesome, especially in front of glass tile and over a marble counter -- far better than the typical "dot" strips. Luckily, we had the foresight to also get a dimmer, as this strip is actually TOO bright for our needs, and we were able to dim them down to the desired level quite easily after installation. Used IP20 up top, and IP65 over the cooktop, and I was able to remove the 24VAC 5W halogen bulb tracks that were starting to disintegrate, cutting our power usage by 65% at the same time!
