Light could be better

Overall I’m disappointed with the quality of this light. I installed a similar light I bought at SBLEDs 4 years ago and it’s working great. This light has 2 problems; the first is it doesn’t reflect evenly because there’s connection points above the diffuser that don’t allow for light to reflect down towards the floor. I’ve attached 2 photos to show the dark spot I’m referring to. Number 2, the light pulses, intermittently. I’m using a Lurton dimmer that is rated for LED lights. When I used the dimmer I bought from SBLEDs, the light lost a lot of “poop” at its highest setting. I’m aware that dimmers reduce light output compared to a switch but it seemed to have 15/20% reduced output. I’m replacing this light with one I recently bought at a hardware store. If the new light pulses I’ll swap the dimmer.
