1971 Lincoln Continental Load ResistorsLED Light Load Resistor Kit - LED Turn Signal Hyper Flash & Warning Fix

Overview
6 Ohm, 50 Watt load resistor kit. Solves common LED turn signal problems with hyperflashing and bulb out warning indicators. Connect one across each LED turn signal bulb to simulate filament Tail/Turn signal bulbs. Use the Flasher Selection Guide to determine the correct Flasher Relay for your vehicle.
View Installation Diagram & Instructions [PDF]. Mount the resistor away from painted surfaces, plastic, or other components that may be damaged by the heat generated by the resistor.

They work, but be aware—they get extremely hot!
Once current is applied through these babies, they heat up to where they could give you a painful burn. I didn't actually measure the temperature, but I suggest you choose the mounting location very, very carefully and make certain you can isolate wires, plastic, or any other "meltable" material from them. Wish the heat sinks were more effective.

With a sequential tail light kit installed only one resistor is required for each tail lamp assembly, wired to the first bulb in the sequence. It was a nice surprise that the included vampire clamps had dielectric grease already. I used 2 #4 3/8" sheet metal screws and two rubber washers to install behind the tail light assembly.
Great Solution
This product came with instructions and was very easy to install. It was also a nice surprise that the dielectric grease was already installed in the connectors. My ’08 Tundra CrewMax was suffering from the “fast blink” after I installed led turn signal bulbs in the rear. After installing these resistor kits (one for each side), the blink rate returned to normal. The need for these is pretty simply. Led bulbs draw so much less current than typical incandescent bulbs that the vehicle’s electrical system thinks the bulb is burned out. The resistor adds resistance in the circuit which makes the system think it is seeing an incandescent bulb... Quick and easy solution. I would recommend this product!
