Power Supply by Mean Well SE Series 100-1000W 12V
Since I upgraded radio components and removed other electronics from cars, I need this power supply to run all those things at home if I desired. This power supply is capable of providing 1000 watts maximum is more than plenty (for those things I have) and assume that I want to operate all of them simultaneously.
One disadvantage is this power supply has a very loud fan. It is small, 60mm x 60mm x 25mm, by holding a metric ruler next to the back and estimate its dimensions. It truly produce a powerful blast of air through the power supply. I looked at an audio electronic store online, they don't even carry anything over 600 watts. Luckily this SuperBrightLED.com has this in their inventory.
Smooth power, unusably loud fan.
STUNNINGLY LOUD cooling fan, with bracket mounting screws tight the blades actually made contact loosening the mounts removed the contact but the fan itself is still super loud as in hand held vacuum cleaner loud. I have it installed in an equipment room where it feeds power to inside wires. You could not have this in the house. I’m going to open it up, disconnect the fan, (which should be thermostatically controlled it’s 2022 after all) and set it up with passive cooling. I rarely need all 600w but could theoretically. I will set it up on the wall with convective cooling. Get the lower rated units to avoid the fan. Powerwise there is ZERO flicker with my LED strips so that is solid.
Great Power- But Loud
Great power and easy to set up. Electrical hookups are straightforward. Runs all 100 feet of my LEDs with no issue. But the fan is loud. This isn't a problem for a garage or workshop application but I'm using mine in my living room so I need to build a box surround to dampen the noise.
