Not bright enough for a backup light
I bought two of these and mounted them below the bumper for backup lights and they do not light the area up good enough to be useful in the dark. I tried changing the light angles and even after finding the optimum angle for them they still didn't provide enough light in complete darkness. After two days I ended up switching them out with the old standard bulb Truck-Lites, which worked awesome for 1/4 of the price. All of the other LED truck lights are awesome, but stay away from the reverse lights!!!
Clean, modern look. Perfect fit
I replaced some sun-faded and cracked lights on the back of my travel trailer. These have nice clear lenses and bright, distinct LEDs. They look great when lit, and are significantly brighter and more "in your face" than the old incandescent bulbs. The fit and finish was perfect.
One interesting difference was that the connector was at the "top" of these lights, whereas my old lights had the connector at the bottom. No problem, as I had plenty of wire. If you have short leads, this could be a potential issue.
If I leave these bulbs lit 24/7/365, I should know in about 6 years if they actually last 50,000 hours.
